Children’s Ministry

 mega sports Camp
July 10-13
Each evening 5:15 – 8:00 pm

This is not an ordinary Vacation Bible School, this is a Sports Camp centered around God’s word.  The children will be taught basic skills for the sports.  They will discover character-building concepts, gain confidence and self-esteem through this positive and encouraging environment.

The coaches will lead the children in a bible story each night and through that story the children will discover God’s great love for them.

Karate – 8 years old to 12 years old

Soccer – Rising 1st graders through rising 6th graders

Praise Worship Music/Art – Rising 1st graders – rising 6th graders  (Children will be taught music and songs, as well as attending an art class)

Children 2 years old through children going into Kindergarten

This group will have a more traditional VBS feel, with storytelling, music and crafts.

Make plans to join us each evening, beginning with dinner served from 5:15 until 6:00pm. Followed by the Camps and Classes that will run from 6:00 until 8:00pm.

You and your children are always welcome in our church!
“Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.”-Proverbs 22:6
The Children’s Ministry Team serves the children of our church and our community from birth through 6th grade.
Sunday School Classes: 10:00 am
Wednesday Classes: 6:30 pm (during the LCPS School Year)
During both worship services, “Nursery” childcare is broken into two separate rooms. One room is geared toward infants and toddlers to the age 18 months. The other room is for children 18 months to five years of age. During the worship service the children are well-supervised by responsible adult church members and positive socialization is encouraged.
In addition to the nursery childcare, during the Traditional or “Late” service, children in 1st through 3rd grade are welcome to attend Children’s Church. During Children’s Church a Bible lesson is presented at an age appropriate level and activities are provided to build upon the lesson. The children participate in the worship service held in the sanctuary before attending Children’s Church.
Our Sunday school classes contain two grades or ages per classroom. We break our children up with the intent to provide personal attention to every child and keep the learning at the appropriate age and developmental level. We ask that children are brought to and picked up from class by an adult.  We are happy to point you to the correct class on Sunday mornings!
Every Wednesday night that Louisa County Public Schools hold classes, Louisa Baptist Church does as well. The children begin on the third floor in one room. As the evening progresses the children are broken out into separate classrooms to provide activities that build on that night’s lesson. There is a nursery provided for infants to 18 months on the first floor.
